Seit der Zollunion zwischen der EU und der Türkei, die 1996 in Kraft trat, wurde vieles einfacher, doch noch immer hat man als Exporteur in die Türkei Schwierigkeiten mit der tatsächlichen Abwicklung des Geschäfts.

Das Messegelände Tüyap in Istanbul wird allein durch die geografische Lage sehr von Messebesuchern aus dem Kaukasus, Balkan und den angrenzenden arabischen Ländern geschätzt und häufig besucht.
Es wird regelmäßig in das Tüyap Messegelände investiert. Vor wenigen Jahren wurden die Hallen 11 und 12 gebaut, mittlerweile sind Zwei weitere Hallen fast fertiggestellt.
